Fiscal Advocacy in Nigeria through Advocacy Networks, Communication and Evidence (FAINANCE)

FAINANCE aimed to stimulate strategic advocacy that enables timely, evidence-based policies and decisions to bridge the funding gap for immunization in Nigeria. This was achieved by equipping national advocates with evidence, analyses, key messages and capacity.

Specific objectives

  1. To produce a robust base of evidence and ensure it is used effectively by advocates (NPHCDA, CSOs, partners, WAVA and others) to conduct coordinated and strategic advocacy on sustainable vaccine financing.
  2. Institute WAVA, a strong and active coalition of women’s groups, raising women’s voices to catalyze action, advocate to policymakers, influence public perception, and exert social pressure on the federal and state governments to increase immunization funding.
  3. Strengthen national coordination of advocacy on vaccine financing.

Funded by: Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation through Johns Hopkins International Vaccine Access Center
